COACHING STAFF
DREY BRADLEY - VARSITY HEAD COACH
Drey retired from his head coaching duties after an outstanding career behind the bench, including the last 13 years as the head coach of the Lightning. Thanks for your leadership coach Bradley! Varsity Head Coach Drey Bradley has been coaching with the Eastview Lightning hockey program since 2001 and took over as head coach in 2007. Prior to joining the Lightning staff, he was the Head Varsity Coach at Simley High School from 1998 - 2001. Coach Bradley's extensive coaching resume includes positions at Burnsville (1996-1998), Holy Angels (1989-1996) and Hastings High School (1986-1988). Drey played collegiate hockey at Bemidji State University from 1980-1984 and was an All-American in 1983 and 1984. While at Bemidji he broke the career scoring record for defensemen and captained the 1984 National Championship team that went 31-0. Coach Bradley currently teaches physical education and coaches soccer and golf at the Academy of Holy Angles in Richfield. He and his wife Karen reside in Eagan and two children, Michelle and Kurt. |
TIM HARTUNG - VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH
Tim Hartung is a 2003 Eastview Graduate and 3 time letter winner in hockey and golf. Tim was named All Conference twice for hockey and three times for golf. In addition, Tim was named Captain for both the hockey and golf teams his senior year. After high school, Tim attended Northern Michigan University where he played hockey and lettered all four years. He was a Captain of the team his senior year. Tim went on to play 3 years in the Central Hockey League with the Dayton Gems, and 3 years in Europe. He played 2 years in France - Ligue Magnus playing for Villard De Lans and Brest, and a year in Scotland - EIHL playing for the Fife Flyers. He has helped coach Eastview's Bantam AA team the past 2 years. Tim currently lives in South Minneapolis with his wife Hannah, son Benjamin and dog Walter. He is a Sales Representative with SportsEngine.

BEN HORSCH - VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH
Ben Horsch was born and raised in Hastings, MN where he played hockey and football. He graduated in 2008 and went to the University of Minnesota Duluth where he helped coach the Duluth East PeeWee A hockey team as well as the Hermantown Track team. Ben graduated from UMD in 2012 and started working at Flint Hills Refinery (Koch) and coached the Hastings Bantam A team for a few seasons. He got a job in St. Paul in the energy field working at what is now known as ENGIE Impact. Ben was a coach for Lakeville South High School for four seasons and coached the Minnesota Blades Tier 1 U18 team this past year. This is Ben's first year coaching at Eastview and he hopes to build strong relationships with the team. He understands that everyone is different and needs to be coached that way respectively. Ben currently resides on St. Paul.

STACY NELSON - JV HEAD COACH
Stacy Nelson has been part of the Eastview hockey association and community since its inception. He has held leadership positions within the youth organization and both the girls and boys high school organizations. He has coached the mite boys and girls as well as the Girl's U10, U12, U14, Squirt A, PeeWee AA and Bantam AA teams as both a parent coach and non-parent coach. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Gustavus Adolphus College while playing all four years. He is certified in the USA Hockey Master Level 5 Coaching Education Program through USA Hockey and is also a Minnesota Wild recipient of the 3M Excellence in Coaching Award. Stacy and his wife Barb, are engrained in the Eastview community where they have enjoyed participating and watching their four kids (Samantha 2009, Scott 2012, Sally 2017 and Kyle 2019) grow up and experience the opportunities the community has to offer. |
KEITH DAHLEN - JV ASSISTANT COACH
Keith is very excited to be coaching the Eastview Boys JV Hockey team. Keith lives in Eagan where he coached boys and girls youth hockey for the past 20 years, his experience ranging from Mite to Junior Golf levels. Keith grew up in Bloomington where he played on the Kennedy High School Varsity Team, and as a senior earned All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention and the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce Senior Athlete of the Year Award. In 1982-83 Keith played one year for the Bloomington Jr. Stars in the USHL. He then attended Bemidji State University and played on the 1983-84, 31-0, NCAA Division II National Championship hockey team. In 1984-85, after 2 years at BSU, Keith moved back home to concentrate on his education. In 1986, after working full-time and attending college part-time, Keith enrolled at Augsburg College full-time to finish his degree in Finance and Economics. While attending Augsburg he was encouraged to go out for the hockey team and enjoyed playing two more years for the Auggies. During his time at Augsburg he was elected captain and names All-Conference Honorable Mention. Keith and his wife have 3 children - 2 adult children and a senior in high school.
